Hardcover. A good +/very good Book Club Edition of King’s 5th novel. Other works page stops with this title. No mention of edition or other printings on copyright page, assumed 1978. Black paper boards with beige quarter cloth spine, and brown titling on spine. Head and tail of spine are bumped in with small closed tears from handling, text block shows yellowing on fore-edge, and minor soil spot on base of fore-edge. Otherwise, tight and clean with the light toning to pages often found in a book club edition. In original, good DJ showing swordsman battling bird-figure. DJ is chipped and has closed tears, and some soiling, now protected in a removable, clear archival sleeve. DJ has numbers 02138 on back cover. 823 pp. 5.75″ x 8.5″ tall.

Storm of the Century was not based upon a Stephen King novel—King wrote it as a screenplay from the beginning. The screenplay was published in February 1999, just prior to the initial airing of Storm of the Century on ABC, while the mass market edition of the screenplay was published only as a trade paperback. This hardcover edition was published concurrently with the only other paperback edition by the Book of the Month Club.
